Reasons I love this game: great music, cool premise, baddies with mohawks, and.............COME ON...its Strider!

I remeber renting this game multiple times, never being able to beat the first level, and then BAM! I plowed through entire game in one sitting after the third or fourth time having rented it. This was one of the first games i really loved the music for. The theme song made it to my first game music compilation tape............thats how badass it is!:P.
The game itself was....buggy........to say the least. The jumping was what you would call....off. Sometimes you jumped high, sometimes you didnt. If you were jumping against the wall then you couldnt reach maximum height. Running on a slope you get you to jump higher.....sometimes....that is if you didn't hit some imginary ceiling that would cause you to plummet to your doom. On top of that it was a sorry excuse for the arcade version that the poor NES was painfully under powered to even attempt a port over for.
Regardless, this is one of the many games it attribute to my taste in games and what i think is cool in general.
